Lead Cys Training Specialist Nf-04

**Duties**:
- Performs duties under the general direction of the supervisor who outlines program objectives and is available for discussion of complicated and unprecedented matters.
- Serves as the Lead Trainer for all CYS Services programs with responsibility for the operation, integration, coordination, and oversight of garrison CYS Services training, curriculum, and programming.
- Identifies training opportunities for management and administrative staff and notifies them of training availability. Identifies training opportunities for management/administrative/support training.
- Prepares reports, information papers, fact sheets and studies as required. Prepares and presents briefings to command, installation and civilian community personnel. Establishes and maintains required program database.
- Conducts written analysis of budget variances. Prepares justification for funding of program resource requirements.

- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks of AR 215-3, 2-15j to include a Child and Youth Tier 1 background investigation.
- Travel to on and off post locations required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position.

**Qualifications**:
- Successful completion of a 4 year college or university degree with a major course of study/substantial course work which directly relates to the position: early childhood/elementary/secondary/special education, child/youth development, psychology, youth program administration or a closely related field such as social work, or home economics.
- 1. Program administration experience in child and youth programs (may include public schools and/or recreation program administration).
- 2. At least 24 months work experience that equipped the applicant with skills necessary to foster professional development in adults.
- 3. The ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions.
- 4. Experience in planning and conducting training.
- 5. Comprehensive oral and communications skills and analytical writing skills. Ability to present ideas and proposals to a variety of audiences.
- 6. The physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
- Do you have experience in **ALL** thefollowing criteria:
- Experience achieving and successfully maintaining **TWO** of the following Accreditation processes: COA (Council on Accreditation), NAEYC (National Association Education of Young Children), and/or NAFCC (National Association of Family Child Care)?
- **TWO Years** or more experience using Army CYS databases and systems (ie. VLS, TS Gold and CYMS) or similar systems?
- Two or more years' experience managing and CYS program or similar, to include but not limited to, recruiting and hiring personnel, evaluating/rating personnel, mentoring and progressive discipline?
- Experience developing, implementing and presenting Garrison wide trainings for larger audiences, 100+ people?
- Experience acquiring and purchasing training and program supplies using a Government Purchase Card?
