**General Job description**:
Toshiba Europe GmbH (TEG) is recruiting a (Senior) Marketing Specialist for the new business focusing on Green Transformation Net Zero and Digital Transformation area. TEG is a subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation, and has its registered office in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Responsibilities include a wide range of marketing activities across Europe and the UK, analysing markets, and developing new services and solutions, primarily in the areas of green and digital transformation.
The role requires good level of marketing capabilities, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and departments in other countries, particularly Japan. Activities include, but are not limited to, building partnerships with relevant stakeholders and launching joint demonstration studies with partners. Market research related to EU policy, EU Green Deal, EU Innovation Fund, Carbon Pricing etc. is also required to analyse the trends and make proposals to inform our strategy.
**Key Tasks**:
- Identify and meet with potential business partners and end customers in Green Transformation and Digital Transformation field to build partnerships and maintain strong partner relationships.
- Develop and implement business strategies to promote Toshiba’s products and services in the European region, securing agreements with strategic partners.
- Initiate joint proof of concept studies with partners.
- Track status and progress of joint projects with partners.
- Attend relevant exhibitions, conferences and seminars to promote the business and identify potential partners.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the European market.
- Market intelligence and track market trends include areas of EU policy, EU Green Deal, EU Innovation Fund, Carbon Pricing etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and report to the team in not only within TEG but to the team in Japan.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- 5+ years of proven marketing or business development experience, ideally in energy or digital related industry.
- Understanding of the business drivers and formulating a business case.
- Successful track record of working in a partner or customer facing role.
- Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility, adaptability and an open-minded outlook.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Working experience within a multinational / EU environment.
- Bachelor degree or above level qualification in relevant major.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent computer and social media literacy.
- Previous experience working within an EU Institution would be advantageous.
- Previous experience working with or within a Japanese corporate environment would be advantageous.
