**Your future plans**
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated (Junior) Commodity Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the commodity accounting closing process for various Trading desks, working closely with Controlling / Risk / Back Office and other accounting teams. Onboarding will include various trainings and on the job coaching.
- Run commodity Accounting closing process, ensuring smooth month / quarter / year-end procedures
- Collaborate closely with accounting principles and risk teams to evaluate, assess, and process new transactions
- Reconcile internal performance reporting (full fair value view) to IFRS (and HGB) standards
- Post unrealised derivatives and accruals for realized transactions
- Provide support for accounting-related projects
- Analyse and identify technical accounting, process, and system-related data issues, providing transparency to management

**Your powerful skills**
- Hold a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Strong analytical skills, with experience working with complex data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated commitment, initiative, and ability to work well within a team
- Openness to taking on new tasks and a strong willingness to develop professionally
- Advantageous, but not a must
- Familiarity with SAP FI and S/4HANA
- Experience in the field of risk management and valuation or controlling
- Experience in the field of commodity trading
