We are searching for a Head of Retail/Wholesale Sales for our Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH) offices to join our team in our Munich office **Job Description**: Reporting directly to the Head of EMEA Retail Sales in London, the Head of Retail/Wholesale Sales will have the following immediate work priorities: - Strengthen sales efforts and results in the region and deepen relationships on top management level focusing on (product/client/regional focus)- Leading a highly motivated senior sales team- Elevate AB to the next level in the region- Create a clear vision and strategy for the region- Leverage personal network in the relevant professional investor financial investment community in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to translate these contacts into business- Collaborate closely with colleagues across Europe, leveraging best practices and complimentary knowledge- Partnership with Marketing team to contribute and sponsor marketing plan **Skills**: - Entrepreneurial, independent and high-energy mindset with excellent self-starting and “hunting” capabilities.- Take the lead for a very senior sales team- Self-confident, extrovert and dynamic personality- Ability to persuade, influence, win and sell by the team and clients/prospects- Highly results-oriented sales approach (“getting to yes”)- Despite the strive for closure, highly ethical in business dealings- Flexibility and perseverance to be able to cope with markets that occasionally are hostile towards foreign companies; able to deal with relatively scarce local resources and a big variety of different client needs ==> solution driven sales approach Collaboration and Teamwork: - Ability to integrate as an outsider into a high performing DACH team environment finding quick access to regional colleagues and the team in EMEA.- Ability to bring in a fresh, outside-in view on how to approach marketing and sales (including PR, relationship management, below the line activities, etc.) into an inspiring, quickly growing and non-hierarchical organisation with short decision making, low bureaucracy and informal internal communication.- Ability to operate entrepreneurially and effectively in a “green field” environment; i.e. self-starter - can pick up the ball and run with it having success with the existing team.- High internal and external credibility enabling the person to transpose a vision both inside the organisation as well as on perspective investors. Qualifications, Experience, Education: - At least 10 years experience in two of the three key markets Germany, Switzerland and Austria and sales responsibility with a financial services company (e.g. a bank, asset manager, investment house, etc.)- Experience in leading sales teams- Ability to leverage the personal existing network in the region inspiring confidence, excitement and conviction geared to performance vis-à-vis the relevant investment community (i.e. top management and decision makers)- Experience in recognising and satisfying the needs and preferences of banks, FoF managers, family offices, independent asset manager, pools etc.- A proven track record of selling (asset) management and/or investment advice to professional investing in a wide range of high performance products- Languages: German, English and ideally French Location: City/Country: Munich/Germany As a global investment firm, we foster diverse perspectives and embrace innovation to help our clients achieve their financial goals.
