**This position is located in Crolles, France.**

**Introduction**

The Director Production Planning & Control, IE will be responsible to manage and enable the Fab production line and its supporting fab logistics services to enable GF Crolles to achieve competitive Foundry manufacturing performance and customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manages a site-wide line control and factory logistics organization including implementation of line performance strategies which enable GF to achieve best-in-class foundry production performance.
- Deliver to a comprehensive suite of standardized line performance metrics to achieve high support for customer product delivery requirements including OTD (on time delivery) and CT (Cycle Time) for both standard production and pre-production prototypes (NPI) and multi-product wafers (MPW).
- Assesses line capabilities and makes commitments to customer requests for delivery volumes and dates.
- Conducts a regular cycle of performance analysis that identifies and takes action on a prioritized list of gaps to benchmark targets.
- Develops and coordinates the implementation of tactics and strategies which will close performance gaps. Ensures line performance step-up plans are in place.
- Develops a corporate suite of engineering methods, processes and business practices that enable systematic and sustained improvement of line performance.
- Develop a team of line performance experts who work cross functionally with global equipment teams, Manufacturing Technology, Fab Manufacturing, Customer Engineering and Supply Planning to coordinate and monitor improvements to ensure customer expectations are fully achieved.
- Assesses line performance analytics and works with Industrial Engineering to develop and deploy advanced WIP management and line performance methods based on data-mining and simulation results.
- Maintains effective prioritization of line to optimize to highest customer delivery satisfaction.
- Resolves daily line performance operations issues.
- Develops an organization that stays networked with the industry and the supply chain to leverage learning from external as well as internal sources. Identifies direction and methods to enable GlobalFoundries competitive advantage.
- Manages to financial targets. Prepares and delivers detailed requirements to suppliers in partnership with Procurement; drives clear financial direction and approach with suppliers to ensure support at right cost point.
- Ensures variety of fab logistics inclusive of daily fab operations, receiving/shipping, wafer pack, inventory management, FOUP/FOSBs, parts warehousing, wafer starts, clean room logistics and other fab operations services.
- Drive yearly productivity improvements.
- Department & Supervisor: The position reports to the Deputy General Manager, Crolles France.

**Required Qualifications**:

- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering / applied science and ten years’ experience, or a master’s degree and five years’ experience. At least three years of experience in senior management positions.
- Extensive experience in the Semiconductor industry with demonstrated success working across Fab disciplines: Fab management, Process engineering, Industrial Engineering, Equipment engineering.
- Demonstrated skills in continuous improvement methods and deliverables
- Experience in the implementation of advanced automation systems, data bases and automated data reporting for driving operational performance
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated capability for managing interfaces in a networked large-scale Manufacturing organization.
