**Master Thesis in Molecular Biology (f/m/d)**
We are offering a master thesis project in the Cell Line Development group within Bayer Pharmaceutical division.
Your work will be primarily focused on a molecular cell line engineering of the production cell lines. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative tools aiming at the improvement of our therapeutic protein production platform.
**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Design, execute, and interpret the results of molecular and cellular laboratory experiments
- Perform laboratory procedures including cell transfection, DNA extraction, cloning, gel electrophoresis etc.
- Troubleshoot assays and optimise protocols
- Document the results, prepare reports and presentations
**WHO YOU ARE**
- Bachelor’s degree in Natural-/Life Science such as Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics or similar
- Experience in the molecular biology and cell culture laboratory, experience in working with CHO cells is a plus
- Basic knowledge of chromatin biology and epigenetics
- Theoretical knowledge of gene editing tools (CRISPR), practical experience is a plus
- Excellent communication in English (spoken and written),
- Scientific curiosity, creativity, ability to work independently and as a member of a team
