**Working in Risk in Market Operations**

The purpose of the Risk department in Market Operations is to secure satisfactory risk evaluation and risk communication to enable Statkraft Trading & Origination and asset optimization business. Our responsibilities include P&L and risk reporting, risk management support, development of the risk models, risk methodologies and risk framework. Part of the enablers to ensure the success of Statkraft growth strategy is to have a strong risk team.

As an Intern / Working student Quantitative Risk Analyst and part of Statkraft’s Risk Management team in Düsseldorf, you will assist in developing and implementing price analysis tools for various markets and commodities in collaboration with the stakeholders. This includes in particular:

- Contribute to the development and automation of dashboards for relevant analytics.
- Use the access to databases and your Python knowledge to create price analysis for relevant markets and products.
- Assist on various risk modelling topics.

**Qualifications**:
We look for a highly motivated intern / working student with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. We believe you:

- Are enrolled in an advanced university degree programme in a quantitative discipline like Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or Statistics
- Have a strong affinity to programming (preferably in Python)
- Have solid skills in math, statistics in particular
- Ideally have first experience with time series analysis, financial and statistical modelling
- Have a proactive mindset and an independent way of working
- Are eager to learn and to develop new skills
- Are fluent in English (written and oral)
