Cys Functional Technology Specialist Nf-04

**Duties**:

- Serves as a Child and Youth Services (CYS) Functional Technology Specialist with responsibility for integrating technology into all aspects of CYS operations.
- Works closely with installation Information Systems Officer and Director of Information Management to develop and implement technology procedures and actions to support CYS programming for children and youth and CYS administrative operations.
- Applies professional knowledge to oversee and support implementation of the Child and Youth Management Information System (CYMS) to include collecting, accurate accounting and reporting of funds.
- Ensures operations of CYS Technology Labs are in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Designs and implements a comprehensive Educational Technology Program for School-age children, Middle School youth and Teens attending CYS programs. Integrates technology into Service Areas.

- Successful completion of annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required.
- Travel to on and off post locations required.

- COVID-19 has severely limited available childcare services in the Stuttgart Military Community. At this time, and for the foreseeable future, only the children of military service members can be accommodated in on base childcare facilities.

**Qualifications**:
**Substantial college coursework or professional certificates from trade school(s) or demonstrated competence in computer science, information technology or related field.**

**1.** Knowledge of child and youth programs, education/recreation programs for youth, or a combination of knowledge in all fields related to child/youth development or related field.
**3.** Ability to trouble shoot hardware, printers, LAN equipment, scanner, server, and software and swap/replace/upgrade equipment.
**4. **Ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and propose solutions.
- (2) years' experience in using automated software system relating to CYS program (CYMS) or similar system
- at least two (2) years of work experience performing analytical duties such as processing a variety of reports in a CYMS or similar related program to track attendance, patron demographics and financial reports
- familiar with all US Army NAF CYS Programs (CDC, SAC, YC, SKIES and Sports) which utilize CYMS or a similar automated system for registration, recordkeeping and maintenance of enrollment activities
- experience monitoring and maintaining CYS video surveillance systems (VSS) IAW IMCOM policies and local SOP's.
- experience reviewing and submitting daily activity reports (DARs), ensuring corrections are made prior to monthly close out deadlines.

Successful completion of a 4-year college or university with coursework in computer science, information technology or a closely related field is highly desirable.
