**Duties**:
Under the supervision of the RPSO Procurement and Support Services Branch Chief (position L52130), the incumbent serves as administrative assistant with the responsibility of providing a wide range of contract administration functions in support of the RPSO operation, as well as providing administrative support functions to 22 procurement and contracting personnel in Frankfurt and to U.S. Government agencies at more than 180 posts world-wide.

EXPERIENCE:

- Three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience in the area of common office procedures is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

- Knowledge of common office procedures is required. Knowledge of acquisition processes, knowledge of local and foreign general business practices and procedures and market conditions including commercial market sources, a thorough knowledge of all acquisition methods, the Prompt Payment Act, and other budgetary regulations relating to acquisitions and payments, is required.
- Education Requirements:
Two (2) years of post-secondary education with coursework in at least one of the following fields: business management, accounting, public administration, or law; or successful completion of an apprenticeship (at least two years in duration) in one of the following fields: business management, accounting, public administration or law is required.
- Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:

- English: Level III (good working knowledge) (speak/read/write) is required.
- German: Level III (good working knowledge) (speak/read/write) is required.

This may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Sound grasp of basic mathematical processes, and basic business writing skills (in English) is required.
- Must have basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet tools.
- Must have the ability to work effectively as part of a highly motivated professional team, within limited time constraints and when under pressure.
- Must have the ability to collect and analyze data and draw conclusions by analyzing facts and conditions.
- Good interpersonal skills displaying tact and discretion in dealing with customers and vendors are required.
