Motor Vehicle Operator Na-06

**Duties**:

- Drives a platform truck (tow truck) weighing up to 26,000 pounds to transport other vehicles, supplies, and materials throughout the installation, public roads, and city streets in all types of traffic conditions.
- Responsible for loading and unloading cargo and materials, securing and transporting vehicles.
- Ensures truck is not loaded beyond the rated capacity by checking cargo papers and by visual observation.
- Completes paperwork regarding wreck and/or impounded vehicles to include occasionally taking payment of services provided.
- Assist in preparing for and executing the Abandoned Vehicle and NAF Equipment Auctions.

- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation and a physical examination.
- This position may require a health screening. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
- Maintains a valid Class D driver’s license with F endorsement issued by the state in which employed.
- Must be able to frequently handle objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
- This position is covered by the DA Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program.
- Incumbent is required to sign DA Form 5019-R. This position has critical safety or security responsibilities and as such has been designated as a testing designated position (TDP).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid USAREUR (US Army Europe) certificate of license.

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**:
Applicant must possess a valid Class D driver's license with F endorsement issued by the state in which employed. Must have 12 months of acceptable work experience operating a vehicle having the capacity and gear ratios of the type(s) of vehicles which he/she may be required to operate. Knowledge of the processing of wreck and impounded vehicles.

**PCS Costs**
- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

**FWS Allowances and Differentials**
- All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
- Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
