Social platforms are the home turf for creators and consumers alike, as the natural go to place for getting and sharing information, making connections as well as their most important tool to reach, cultivate, engage and monetize their communities. The Head of Social media will be responsible for making Gelato an integral part of the creator community across social media platforms through impactful and innovative strategies, content and partnerships.
**What you'll do**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Gelato's goals and objectives.
- Manage and oversee all social media platforms, with a focus on optimizing existing channels - Facebook and Instagram and launching and building new ones, ie. TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat
- Lead the social media manager, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to drive individual and marketing team success.
- Identify and engage the Creator ecosystem and potential influencer partnerships to increase brand awareness, reach and engagement
- Select and implement a best in class social media techstack and process to ensure quantitative and qualitative results.
- Monitor and analyze social media trends, audience behavior, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and optimize social media campaigns.
- Work closely with internal and external agencies to create engaging and shareable content for organic and paid social media
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as marketing, acquisition, product, PR and the creative team, to optimize experience and services for Creators and ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across all social media channels.
- Develop and manage social media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of social media campaigns and regularly report on performance to senior management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in social media marketing, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Monitor user feedback and comments on social media channels, promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Together with PR identify and foster relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors, and industry leaders to leverage their networks and enhance brand visibility
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure social media activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidelines.
As the Head of Social Media, you will be launching, developing and executing our organic social media strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth across various social media platforms. Working closely with the acquisition team, you will lead the overall creative direction and content for organic and paid social channels to deliver industry leading results.
**Who you are**
- Passionate and innovative creative strategist with a strong bias for action and executional excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience ( 5+ years) as a social media manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successful social media campaigns and initiatives.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices for content creation, engagement, and audience growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling and persuasive content for various social media channels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, metrics, and insights to inform decision-making and optimize social media strategies.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas to differentiate the brand and engage audiences.
