**EVP NCE > Sales East** You are responsible for sales and business development in Eastern Europe, the Baltics, the Balkans, and CIS countries excluding Russia. Covering all Sales and Business development activities from early engagement, bidding, and negotiation until hand-over to Construction. The wider team consists of a diverse group of enthusiastic employees covering the region alongside a team that provides bid management and sales support to the region. **Responsibilities** You will be in charge of this fast-growing region, soon to become one of Vestas’ most important markets. You will run and optimise the current Sales and Business Development efforts, to secure the company’s market share and profitability. The focus is to ensure the right balance between growth and quality in the deals and at the same time establish long-lasting relationships with customers and developers. You will get the chance to work with diverse and multi-cultural stakeholders within and outside the organisation. With respect to concrete success criteria the Head of Sales & Business Development for NCE Sales East will be responsible for: - Sales & Business Development in East: Eastern Europe, the Baltics, the Balkans, and CIS countries excluding Russia (Market share, Revenue, Profitability) - The driver of regional KPIs - Direct the new market entry process across the region - Coordinate manufacturing localisation across the region, where applicable - Build a skilled Sales and Business Development team that will ensure the infrastructure is in place to meet customers’ expectations for new products, high quality, low cost, and best service - Ensure customer satisfaction, spending significant time deepening and building customer relationships to understand its needs - Innovative market-making strategies - Ensure effective relationships and solid collaboration between commercial sales regions, global sales management and corporate functions, business and tech support units, and central market intelligence - Ensure ongoing performance management of function including setting performance benchmarks and providing monitoring and feedback to reach targets - Develop leadership mindset, capabilities, and functional excellence within the unit, recruit great talent for the organisation, and ensure optimal alignment to meet business goals **Qualifications** - You hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, coupled with a significant level of professional and project management experience from renewable energy, power plants, infrastructure, or the construction industry. A master’s degree would be preferred - Experience being involved on the commercial side in the negotiation of large complex (+300mil EUR) projects, and you will be able to articulate the consequences from a commercial and contractual point of view - Have a significant understanding of the commercial aspects of complex products and will be required to translate this knowledge into a contractual context - Experienced with long-term sales processes, you will be required to deliver results in a matrix organisation selling large-scale projects including supply, installation, and long-term maintenance agreements - Proven history of building sustainable organisations and being an experienced executive with significant business experience, ideally gained in a business of similar complexity covering multiple locations and operationally diverse functions - Solid experience in understanding customers/markets and selling complex projects incl. project financing/deal structuring - Experience from a global industrial (high value, infrequent sales order, and long sales cycles) company with demonstrated ability to work in developing/emerging markets - Demonstrated ability to develop a growth strategy, communicate a compelling vision, and engage the organisation - Proficient in English is mandatory, one other Eastern European language would be of great use **Competencies** - Demonstrate significant ability to effectively deliver results under complex varying conditions.
