Team Lead of Accounts Payable

We would like to extend the Accounting team within our Finance & Operations organisation and we are looking for an A/P Lead. The role requires that you can build strong relationships in - and outside the company, move quickly, not be constrained by how things "used to be" and most importantly that you are ambitious, curious, and passionate about accounts payable **What you'll be doing**: - Lead and manage a team of accounts payable professionals and set clear goals and expectations, provide guidance and support, and monitor performance - Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function as well as ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and other payment requests - Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to company policies and procedures and coordinate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payments - Manage vendor relationships, including communication, issue resolution, and maintaining accurate vendor records - Review vendor statements and reconcile any discrepancies and collaborate with vendors to ensure efficient and accurate payment processes - Manage the payment processing cycle, including verifying payment terms, coordinating approvals, and ensuring timely and accurate payments - Prepare and process electronic payments, checks, and wire transfers and reconcile payment batches and resolve any payment discrepancies - Continuously assess and improve accounts payable processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices - Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls related to accounts payable and assist in internal and external audits related to accounts payable - Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports, payment schedules, and cash flow projections **What you need to be successful**: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable, with a focus on process management, including team lead experience - Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, processes, and best practices - Experience with accounts payable systems and proficiency in accounting software - Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills in English as well as interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations **We Love Diversity - Equal Employment Opportunity**: Our platforms are for everyone, and so is our workplace.
