Our Digital Engineering division delivers and integrates digital solutions to enable renewable energy production and reliable operations. As such digital engineering is the supplier of digital solutions within the Business Unit Offshore Wind and is responsible for supporting the entire value chain (from winning bids to building assets and operating assets) with a focus on Operational Technology (OT) and IT. We realize synergies in control and analytical modelling, and we enable optimization of engineering design by capturing, integrating and maintaining all relevant data (end-to-end).

We strive for the highest standards of cyber security for our portfolio within BU Offshore Wind as well as other BA Wind business units.

Now we are looking for a Service SCADA Engineer to support on daily operations of Vattenfall’s wind assets, to secure that Vattenfall gains competitive advantages in operation of existing wind farms SCADA systems and ensure of data integration and operation of the lifetime of the wind farms.

As one of the key functions in Vattenfall’s wind business the SCADA Operations department under Digital Engineering is to ensure the maintenance and operation of SCADA and Control systems throughout the lifetime of the asset, when handed over for operation.

Purpose of your potential role

Your main responsibility as Service SCADA Engineer will be implementation, support and daily operation of automation systems, infrastructure interfaces and 1st level SCADA system. This includes several operational tasks, lifecycle tasks including troubleshooting of system failures. Furthermore, you will support the development and implementation of strategy for operation of SCADA and control system for the sites.

Your technical background will include some of following working experience:

- Signal converters and tunnels (like: Kepware, Triangle Microworks and others)
- Several different data communication protocols
- Installation and commissioning of automation systems and/or network infrastructure.
- Familiarized with wind turbine technology, PLC technology and operations of automation systems
- Familiarized with substation control system for high voltage control
- Service of automation systems and lifecycle processes

Location

The location will preferably be based in the Vattenfall office in Kolding, Denmark, however our other locations Amsterdam, Netherlands or Poland can be optional. But it is expected that you will be present at the Kolding office some of the time.

**Profile**:
For this position we are seeking a person with a degree within Engineering or documented similar long-time experiences. You have gained experience with automation systems within the Wind or Energy sector.

Also, you bring the following qualifications:

- Experience as an automation engineer within technical areas.
- Have good knowledge of operational processes
- Have a systematic and focused approach to your daily tasks
- See documentation as a natural and integrated part of the work
- Speak and write English fluently
- Have flexible approach to travel and offshore work
- Will fulfil the requirement to have GWO certification
