The role:
We recognize that our people are crucial to the on-going success of the business and are seeking to add to our skilled legal team.

We are looking for a lawyer who will work with the business to help manage the variety of legal risks and challenges that IG will face in the future.

We are seeking a lawyer who has successfully completed training at a top firm and has solid post qualification experience in financial services, financial regulation and/or capital markets/derivatives - e.g. listed securities, equities, FX, futures, CFDs, options. In-house and/or commercial experience will be an advantage. Whilst being part of the wider legal team, the role will predominantly include responsibility for supporting the group’s European operations and will require someone who is able to work autonomously and independently.

In the role, your responsibilities will primarily include:
- Contract drafting, interpretation and negotiation;- Advising on European regulatory developments;- Advising the business on new initiatives;- Providing general legal support and advice to the European business;- Being involved in litigation, financing and intellectual property matters as required;- Investigating the corporate/regulatory framework to open new offices or offer services in new territories;- Interacting with third parties (including exchanges, market data vendors, prime brokers, IT vendors and marketing agencies).
