As Marketplace Expansion Lead, you will be responsible for leading the expansion of our brand portfolio to new channels. You will develop and implement strategies to identify new opportunities, build relationships with vendors and partners, and execute expansion plans. This position is made for a highly-driven and hungry individual, who has an entrepreneurial spirit and is excited about carving out a new path for our business.

This position is based in Berlin.

Tasks
- Take on end-to-end ownership of market expansion for the Mantaro portfolio
- Research and analyze potential new markets for expansion
- Drive strategic alignment across planning and execution of initiatives that support the expansion into new markets and channels
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain and finance to gain insight into the most viable markets for our business and brands
- Own the P&L for new channels
- Build and maintain relationships with marketplace providers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Manage expansion timeline and key milestones to ensure continuous progress is being made
- Monitor and analyze marketplace performance KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial mindset to push the boundaries of where Mantaro can exist and what our brands can do

**Requirements**:

- You have a Master’s degree in Business or Marketing related field
- Experience in market research, channel expansion, and negotiation
- You understand forecasting methods, market trends, and different tools
- Previous experience in dealing with different tools and automation
- Experience in e-commerce or similar industry with a focus on marketplaces.
- You are a ‘digital native’, and know how to use cloud-based tools such as Google Suite (Mail, Drive, Calendar), Slack, Notion etc.
- High level of empathy and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial thinking and very good negotiation skills
- You have a ‘bias for action’: the tendency to push things forward, not getting stuck in ‘analysis paralysis’
- Outgoing and can easily network and build connections
- Business fluent in German and English
