**What you'll do**:
In your role as (Senior) Data Scientist (f/m/d), you will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and quality assurance within a development team. You will collaborate closely with your team members to ensure success. In your day-to-day, you will:

- Work with a team of highly technical and motivated developers.
- Collaborate with teams across geographies and time zones.
- Work closely with development teams and product management to jointly define and implement AI use cases in specific SAP domains.
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of development projects, including customer-specific and SAP-defined initiatives.
- Implement backlogs for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Adhere to SAP's agile engineering practices and processes. Take ownership of your code from ideation to deployment, across the full stack, including QA and support.
- Engage with diverse technologies and topics, supported by structured enablement.

**What you bring**:
Are you analytical, self-motivated, and enjoy problem solving? Do you enjoy continuous learning and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment? If this sounds like you, do you also bring:

- Bachelors/master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, data science or related fields, with knowledge and experience on knowledge representation
- 2+ years of software engineering experience in a data scientist role
- Solid understanding of the mathematics related to data science - probability, statistics, linear algebra etc.
- Extensive knowledge of various machine learning algorithms and concepts used to build predictive models and Generative AI.
- In-depth knowledge in at least 1 of the data science domains - Text Analysis and Natural Language Processing, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Signal Processing, Reinforcement Learning
- Hands on experience with computational packages (Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, StatsModels, Keras, Tensorflow, etc.) and visualization tools.
- Highly proficient in SQL and good knowledge of relational database
- Prior Work experience with ABAP and SAP BTP, along with integration technologies such as ISLM
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to independently develop new concepts and stay current with academic research.
