Senior Data Scientist- Optimization

- Salary Range: € 88.000 - 115.000 per year gross depending on the seniority level

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Research, develop, and adapt algorithms that unlock the capacity in the energy system through optimized returns in trading the flexibility of our assets
- Create data science solutions that solve business challenges through well engineered, elegant technical answers (focus on software)
- Foster technical excellence, drive best practices contribute to our open, data driven engineering culture
- Building, iterating, deploying and maintaining code from scratch to excellence

**Your Profile**:
**Mandatory Requirements**
- University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields, with focus on data science, optimization or scientific computing
- 3+ years industry experience in applied data science, preferably in the energy or financial sectors.
- Proficiency in software development and software practices (e.g. testing, code quality, monitoring), with strong expertise in Python
- Proven experience in solving real world problems with data science methods, mathematical optimization, or scientific computing, delivering value in production
- Proven record of mentoring junior data scientists, leading them to contribute to the organization’s financial performance
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
- You enjoy solving problems and sparring ideas in a cross-functional team with our battery engineers, software engineers, product managers and business developers

**Skills to Set You Apart**
- Experience in time series data processing and data analysis
- Experience in bringing complex algorithms into production
- Experience in Machine Learning
- Experience working with AWS
- Work experience in the energy industry, particularly in energy trading or similar fields
