At 8returns, we're transforming one of the most frustrating, environmentally damaging and costly aspects of e-commerce — returns. We built a technology that automates the returns process for retailers and makes data-driven decisions to connect each return to its next best use.
We're still in the scrappy startup phase, so we are looking for people who are comfortable with ambiguity and having wide impact. We've been remote-first since Day 1, and care a ton about communication, autonomy, curiosity, and initiative.
Tasks
As a Founders Associate, you will take on a versatile role with high-impact opportunities. You’ll work closely with the founders on strategic projects and operational tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

- Strategy Development: Supporting the development and implementation of growth strategies, including new business models, market research, and competitor analysis.
- Project Management: Leading and coordinating cross-functional projects to enhance the efficiency and success of 8returns.
- Business Operations: Optimizing internal processes and structures to make our team and workflows more efficient.
- Investor Relations: Assisting with the preparation of presentations, pitches, and reports for investors.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Providing flexible support in daily operations, whether in sales, marketing, or product management.

**Requirements**:

- Language Skills: Fluency in both German and English (spoken and written).
- Experience: A background in startups, consulting, venture capital, finance, or a related field is highly valued.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: You are proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Analytical Skills: You can structure complex problems and make data-driven decisions.
- Independence: You are a self-starter who takes initiative and ownership without waiting for detailed instructions.
- Communication Skills: You can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility: You thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly.
