Job Description:
Huntsman has a rare opportunity for an experienced Strategic Marketing Director to join our largest division Polyurethanes (PU) and our new European offices in Frankfurt, Germany.

Reporting to the Regional VP, the Marketing Director leads the strategic marketing activity for the PU business in Europe, Africa, Middle East & India (EAMEI) with particular emphasis on developing a strategy to differentiate and win and grow the business in attractive market segments across the region.

As the Strategic Marketing Director, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- To develop, lead and implement the Regional EAMEI marketing strategy for PU with the goal of consolidating and strengthening PU market leadership position in Insulation, Coatings & Adhesives, Furniture and Composite Wood Products (CWP).- Closely working with the Technology & Innovation and Commercial organization to develop and implement marketing strategies for EAMEI to underpin the delivery of the business plans.- To build and lead the marketing organization which includes Portfolio Management, Market Intelligence and Marketing Communication. Provide business direction and coaching to the market team in EAMEI.- To identify and evaluate opportunities for growth in the EAMEI market through acquisition, partnering or technology alliances that leverage PU’s core technical and market competencies.- To lead the development of new communication platforms across the Region to drive synergy and ensure a consistent message.- To own and lead portfolio management across EAMEI, driving for continuous optimization of the 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) with effect resource allocation.

Skills & Experience Required:
Strong strategic and conceptual thinking competencies allied to strong results orientation and people skills are required. The Strategic Marketing Director must be able to take a high level view of direction and requirements of the PU industry in Europe and be able to translate these into practical, cohesive plans. He/She must then be able to effectively communicate these to the organization and secure commitment to their implementation at a pace that is consistent with market demands.

**Education**:
University degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline such as Chemistry or Engineering, at least 10 years marketing experience with 7 years at a senior level. Extensive B2B experience in senior marketing and business roles and a proven track record and ability to deliver successful results at a speed consistent with the demands of the market.

Prior knowledge of the European PU market is an advantage but not a must.
