**Overview**:
We are currently seeking a
**Senior Counsel IP** to strengthen our IP department. You will work in Munich (Germany) in an interdisciplinary global environment with colleagues from Germany and Houston (TX). Your analytical reasoning and action-oriented style as well as your organization and communication skills will contribute to the team’s success.

**Your mission**:
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks:

- Worldwide development & execution of prosecution strategies in the field of target discovery and/or cell therapy
- Guidance of outside counsels
- Alignment of the IP strategy with internal functions incl. R&D, Business Development, Alliance Management and other cross functions
- Invalidation procedures incl. European opposition & appeal procedures
- Contributing to the planning of search strategies for FTO analysis

**Your profile**:
You hold a Master or PhD degree in a biological, biotech, biochemistry or related field, ideally with knowledge of oncology and immunotherapies. In addition, you are a fully qualified European Patent Attorney with at least 3 years working experience post EQE qualification. You demonstrate qualities of diligence, approachability, and confidence in interaction with research and development colleagues and others across the business and externally.

You are an excellent communicator in German and English, able to convey information to professionals at all levels and across different business areas. You show commercial awareness and interest in Immatics’ proprietary technologies and future aims and possess good organizational, multi-tasking and negotiation skills, are accurate, flexible, and able to work independently as well as within a lean team. You have a proactive, solution-orientated working style, with excellent analytical skills. With these competences you are able to successfully contribute to protect and monetarize the IP portfolio of Immatics.
