**This is what the job entails**:
Objectives

Contribute to the design of a self-determined, flexible and effective development organization, which develops software according to our architecture guidelines
Support and optimization of the communication within and between teams
Take the responsibility over the team’s ability to develop sustainable architectures
Support in software development that meets our requirements for guidelines, security, quality and performance and enables a sufficiently fast time-to-market
Increase of the development speed by simple and clear decision making

Tasks

Supporting (Domain-) Architects in communicating and implementing architectural guidelines

To convey a better understanding of architecture within the teams, to communicate the overall architecture, the organizational context and the framework conditions
Driving the architectural guidelines / compliance through communication with the teams and prioritization together with the POs
Relaying feedback from the teams
Demand adherence to architecture guidelines

Support teams with the implementation of architecture guidelines

Support teams and developers to place refactoring and architectural work into their sprints (legitimacy)
Support in designing the software architecture on squad and team level

**In technical conflict situations**: To advise both parties and to actively participate in decision making based on objective KPI and architectural frameworks by providing teams and developers with architecture-relevant information and by bringing about a data-based decision

Further development of our systems

Proactively identify and address challenges in our systems and processes
Develop prototypes and implement focus topics together with the teams
Support of developers in sprints (pull principle)
Regular pairing with the developers in order to transfer knowledge in both directions (pull & push)

Coordination of development tasks

Support in the technical harmonization of tasks between the teams within a squad and also between squads

Continuous improvement

Expand personal methodological excellence
Increase team performance in product development
Increase personal social competence
Profile
Degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience
High degree of teamwork, and excellent analytical and communication skills
Good presentation and moderation skills
Hands-On mentality
Fluency in both english and german

Nice-to-have

Know-how of Apache Kafka, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes
Programming experience, for example with JAVA / Kotlin, Spring Framework, Angular or other programming languages and frameworks (for the position of a Solution Architect within a product team)
Experience in evolving and maintaining cloud platforms, infrastructure as a service, devops practices (for the position of a Solution Architect within a platform team)
Interested in Domain Driven Design, System-Thinking and other related concepts

Must have

Practical experience working within scaled systems, microservices, event-driven architectures
Good knowledge of software architecture patterns and principles
Intrinsic motivation to continuously improve your skills and to keep up with current developments in software / domain / enterprise architecture and cloud technologies
