**Coordinator for the Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) (f/m/x)**

up to salary level E13, 50 % position until 31.12.2026

The position is available to be filled **as soon as possible**.

The CRC/SFB 1372 is aiming to understand magnetoreception and navigation in vertebrates. Our genuinely synergetic and collaborative initiatives bring together behavioural biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, quantum physics and spin chemistry, in a unique, ambitious, imaginative way. To achieve this, the IRTG was installed to offer doctoral researchers training and teaching courses covering all necessary skills to successfully pursue their scientific projects. To succeed in our ambitious objectives, we are looking for a highly experienced, skilled and well-organized manager to administrate and organize the IRTG programme.

The job includes and experiences:

- Coordination of the IRTG qualification programme, including courses, the weekly seminar, the lecture series and other activities of the IRTG, together with the two project leaders
- Preparation and distribution of general information and the correspondence within and outside the IRTG group
- Contact with coordinators of similar doctoral programmes and with OLTECH to co-organize workshops and symposia of common interest for the doctoral researchers
- Taking care of also non-scientific questions and problems the doctoral researchers may have
- Preparation and coordination of strategic IRTG meetings, and implementation of the decisions in close interaction with the project leaders
- Close interaction with the coordinator of the CRC
- Organisation of conferences and excursions to promote the exchange of information between doctoral researchers and speakers/staff from different research institutions on career paths and professional life

Your profile, ideally is demonstrated by relevant professional experience:

- A completed academic university studies (diploma (university) or master's degree) in science
- A strategic and creative mind
- The ability to cooperate and work in an interdisciplinary team
- Knowledge of guidelines of the DFG
- Experience with coordinating research training groups
- Experience with coordination and organisation of doctoral research colloquiums
- Experience with coordination and organisation of workshops
- Very good communication skills in German and English
- Experience working in intercultural and diverse environments as well as experience in developing successful concepts for equality and equity in scientific projects
