**Job Description**:
As Head of Intellectual Property Management (M/F/d), you will be leading the growing IP department at Volocopter. In this role, you will be spearheading all Intellectual Property topics, working closely with our technical departments, as well as Legal and management functions, and actively shaping all IP processes within the Volocopter Group.
**Your Mission**:
- You will be leading, mentoring and developing the IP team
- You will be the sparring partner for technical experts and leaders in all matters related to IP at Volocopter
- You conduct freedom-to-operate searches and analyses for our products before market launch
- You will drive and further develop the competition monitoring process at Volocopter
- You will facilitate and actively promote innovation throughout the different products
- You will be the go-to person for all IP-related questions; working closely with and regularly reporting to top management
- You will continuously work on implementing, standardizing and improving processes in your area
- You will contribute to IP contract negotiations in collaboration with the Legal department
**Qualifications**:
**Our Boarding Requirements**:
- Experience in the field of patents, with knowledge in worldwide patent offices, especially DPMA (Germany), EPO (European Patent Office), USPTO (USA) and CNIPA (China)
- Hands-on trademark experience with all major offices worldwide (especially EUIPO, WIPO, USPTO, CNIPA), as well as experience in trademark strategy, monitoring and enforcement
- In-house experience in a high-tech company is desirable, including experience in patent strategy, budget planning, competition monitoring, freedom-to-operate searches and analyses
- Experience leading motivated and high-performing teams, and a passionate team player
- Fluent in English and German
- Willingness to travel
