**Your Profile**:

- You are studying mechanical, automotive, electrical or a related engineering discipline.
- You have excellent knowledge in the fundamentals of electrical engineering, mechatronic systems, control systems, and electric motors.

**Your Duties and Responsibilities**:

- You will assist in developing innovative electric drive concepts with active winding reconfiguration as part of a collaborative team.
- You will perform electronic component selection, sizing, and packaging for PCB assemblies (PCB-As) to create prototypes using dedicated software such as Altium or KiCAD.
- You will support the development of control algorithms and intelligent software using vehicle, powertrain and component models using MATLAB/Simulink and Ansys simulation softwares.
- You will help plan, set up and conduct test bench activities to validate prototypes in electric vehicles.
- You will have the chance to learn, grow and contribute ideas that can inspire your future academic projects in sustainable mobility.

**What We Offer**:
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term of 1 year.
It is intended to extend the initial contract period by one year.
This is a part-time contract position.
The standard weekly hours will be 12-19 hours.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 13,25 € per hour.
