We are looking for a Senior Claims Specialist (M/F/d), based in Munich or Cologne.

**Your Team**
Our Liability & Financial Lines Claims team is committed to be benchmark in our area and therefore strives to deliver a highly professional claim handling experience according to our claims handling framework. We understand Claims Handling as the fulfilment of the promise given to our customers. We are specialized to think and act in complex and high-volume Liability and Financial Lines Claim scenarios on a global level. We interact with customers who trust AGCS for many years. Our daily work is centered around a collaborative exchange with internal and external experts to find solutions for complex tasks. That requires not only our expertise but teamwork as well.

**The Impact You Will Have**
Proactively investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex claims with a focus on the Financial Lines portfolio. Ensure claims are handled within authority limits and in line with AGCS Claims Standards procedures and guidelines. Read policies, interpret coverage and adjust claims accordingly. Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients, as well as internal business partners. Retain and manage third party service providers to achieve economical results and provide high quality service.

**Some of your specific responsibilities could include**
- Resolve high exposure, complex financial lines claims, ensuring cost effective, service-oriented solutions
- Manage a diverse workload that includes high exposure domestic and international claims that involve complex issues and/or litigation
- Actively evaluate and address coverage issues and determine appropriate reserving levels
- Support less experienced members of the team with their daily tasks
- Work as part of cross functional teams to win and retain key clients
- Support establishment of claims management procedures in association with clients, brokers and loss adjusters
- Support development of the claims strategy to ensure profitable growth and a strong market position
- Actively lead cross-department projects to improve efficiency and the claims offer internally

**What You’ll Bring to the Role**
- Degree in Law
- Professional experience dealing with complex claims, preferable in the area of financial lines products and portfolios
- You have an understanding of legal processes and procedures, litigation management, litigation avoidance techniques (eg. mediation)
- You are capable of leveraging data in order to provide meaningful analytics to internal stakeholders
- You are a collaborative and positive team player, capable of driving new initiatives
- With excellent communication skills, you create and maintain solid relationships at every level within the organization
- Fluent in English and German
