Senior Product Designer

**We are looking for**:
For our Product team in Bucharest or Hamburg, we're looking for a Senior Product Designer, to work with end users and the tech team, to design and deliver a stellar product and user experience. You enjoy combining design best practices with user-oriented thinking and state-of-the-art technologies. You’re passionate about creating high-impact user experiences that make customers’ lives better.

**Your Tasks**:
You're an advocate for data-driven decisions and a design leader in the team - you're responsible for getting the best data from our users and using it to shape your designs and flows across the apps.
- Plan and conduct user research (user interviews, usability tests, field studies,...) and analyse the data afterwards to make informed decisions for your designs
- Map the user journey and create wireframes, high-definition mock-ups, and prototypes
- Work together with our head of product on product strategy
- Create new products features and iterate on existing features
- Develop the final look and feel of our product
- Work closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the implementation stage to ensure a high level of quality in the final product and a consistent experience across the whole customer journey
- Help shape the design culture at Voya that will ultimately define every interaction customers have with our products and services

**Your Profile**:
As a Product Designer you take** **ownership, autonomy, and accountability over your area of expertise, while openly promoting a knowledge-sharing culture. We're looking for someone who’s highly committed to research and design quality and has a high drive to achieve business-level goals in a holistic manner.

Our expectations:

- Strong understanding of product design (user research and interface design)
- 4+ years of experience designing high-quality interfaces and user flows both on mobile and web-based platforms
- Ability and experience to articulate and explain your ideas to engineers, product managers, and other (internal) stakeholders
- Highly committed, responsible and independent
- Lead the design and research initiatives within the company
- Comfortable pushing for good user research and product agility at the same time
- Show excellent collaboration skills, as you will work with most teams involved in the product business processes, including the engineering teams
- Be a long-term resident in the E.U. or already possess a work visa for qualified professionals in either Romania or Germany

Our company's language is English, which means that you need to be able to speak and write it well. In the past, we've used Sketch, Invision, and Figma on our design team.

Nonetheless, you're free to choose if you want to come to the office or work remotely or do a bit of both. We do however value face-to-face interactions from time to time. So a willingness to travel to meet face-to-face is helpful.
