On regular Tech Days, we open up space for technical research away from the daily business, creativity and own experiments. **What you will do**: - Lead a team of experienced software engineers (mostly backend), empower them and create a safe and inclusive environment to help people grow. - Collaborate with other engineering team leads and the CTO to drive company strategy and priorities. - Team up with your recruitment colleagues to attract the best talent that fit to your team and our company. - Work closely with the Product Owner to jointly define the roadmap and ensure its implementation in your team. - Seek continuous improvement, including performance and quality improvements within our agile software development process. - Moderate conversations and drive decision making to move your team forward and to continue to deliver a high-quality product. - Through your regular participation in team meetings and regular one-on-one meetings, you keep track of the performance of your team and its members. What we expect - Degree in computer science or a similar discipline. - Experience in leading a team of experienced software engineers and have a passion for building, leading and nurturing successful teams. - Experience in strength-based employee development and in identifying skill gaps at the team level and in initiating appropriate measures. - Decent hands-on background in Java - ideally also with Spring - to guide and coach a team of technical experts. - Ability to go deep at a technical level and fostering decision processes by weighing alternatives in a transparent way. - Demonstrated knowledge of software development lifecycles within different phases of product lifecycles. - Able to quickly grasp complex technical issues, to abstract well and to communicate them. - English skills at the working level are required - German is a Plus.
