**Tasks**:

- Consult the business on a wide range of corporate concerns and projects.
- Establish the agenda and lead the parent company's transformation from a German AG to a European Stock Corporation (SE), as well as contribute to the development of cutting-edge corporate governance.
- Design and implement good group structures, including effective subsidiary management, in close collaboration with Finance, management, and other important stakeholders.
- Create and administer a network of local counsels throughout all of our (possible) markets.
- Drive important compliance efforts and assist with the design and implementation of processes in accordance with our corporate development.
- Supervise and negotiate key agreements and transactions.
- Provide advice and support to our product team as they create new features.
- You will work as a generalist in various important emphasis areas of the Legal and Compliance team, in addition to corporate affairs. This will entail counselling multiple product teams on foreign commercial, regulatory, and compliance issues.
- You manage communication and strategy with key stakeholders.
- Provide value by acting as a strong champion for solid risk management and compliance in all things you handle.
- You provide value by owning your areas of responsibility and tackling the business strategically. You like working on business-critical problems and coming up with practical, business-minded solutions.
- You become an important member of a fantastic Legal and Compliance team, reporting directly to the General Counsel. As the team grows, the function may entail personnel responsibilities.

**Requirements**:

- A fully certified lawyer in German law with an outstanding academic record.
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience in an international law firm and/or in-house environment, preferably in corporate/commercial cases.
- Willing to work on a variety of legal topics.
- Knowledge of GDPR, commercial law, e-commerce, or financial service regulation is a huge plus.
- Preferably, some in-house expertise in rapidly growing firms and startups.
- Strong communication skills and a natural approach to creating relationships throughout the organisation.
- A desire to learn and improve in new areas.
- Excellent business acumen, including the ability to collaborate with management to accomplish growth and profitability targets while mitigating risks.
- Interested in working on transnational issues and with a highly driven international team.
- Good mastery of the English and German languages. Other languages, particularly Spanish and Italian, are considered advantageous.
