The Legal Counsel EMEA (f/m/d) is responsible for supporting the commercial operations, including sales and service, in the EMEA region and will be member of the commercial EMEA leadership team as legal business partner. Legal advice will be provided with regards to sales and service contracts, including tenders, and marketing activities such as promotion and advertising. Furthermore, the Legal Counsel EMEA contributes to continuous improvement in the operations of the legal department. This position reports to the Associate General Counsel and is part of the legal department located in Wetzlar and Mannheim and will be working remotely to cover the EMEA region. For this remote position, we kindly ask that candidates have their residence in Germany. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Review and negotiate transactions, contracts and agreements, including important co-operations, distribution, dealer, sales and product service contracts, public tenders, consulting and other service contracts, procurement and license agreements Develop and implement standards and processes for different types of transactions and in the field of contract management including contract templates Collaborate with legal colleagues from other Danaher companies or external counsel Provide guidance and develop guidelines for sales and marketing team and activities, in particular with a focus on the marketing and promotion of medical devices and cooperation with health care providers (HCPs), research and medical institutions Support in dispute resolution, litigation and other legal proceedings Accompany Leica and Danaher in EMEA on mergers and acquisitions, from due diligence to integration The essential requirements of the job include: You have completed a law degree and are admitted to the bar in a European country (admission to German bar is a plus) You have several years of professional experience in a law firm or in an industrial environment (life science is a plus) You are experienced in drafting and negotiating contracts You are characterized by sensitivity in dealing with legal and compliance matters You are fluent in English and ideally fluent in another European language (German is a plus) Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role Ability to travel (20 %)  within the EMEA region It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Life Science/Pharma business #LI-MW1 Join our winning team today.
