**YOUR ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT TIER**
- Take the technical leadership and coordinate projects within your team.
- Lead the technical discovery of the team's projects and identify potential dependencies with other teams.
- Lead the delivery of highly available, resilient and scalable backend services.
- Ensure technical quality and manage technical debt. Advise product managers and stakeholders on technical feasibility.
- Lead a team of several engineers.
- Coordinate projects with other teams.
- Maintain crucial connections with other teams to coordinate projects.
- Support the growth of our developers and mentor them
- You have an agile mindset with the ability to advocate for cross-functional collaboration.
- Conduct regular 1-1s with the rest of the team members.
- Build services that power hundreds of thousands of vehicles with different models and serve millions of customers
- Constantly improve, evaluate, and monitor engineering processes by using SLIs/SLOs, team metrics and the four key metrics (DORA)
- Work closely with SRE team to deliver microservices and monorepos
- Deliver integrations based on different communication protocols
- Embrace data-driven approaches to deliver scalable features
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment

**YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- You have 5+ years of professional experience as a backend developer
- You are proficient with Javascript / NodeJS ( plus if proficient in Typescript )
- You are confident with automated testing and high release frequency
- You have an understanding of Zero-Downtime deployment/migration strategies
- You are practical. You can assess and make tradeoffs
- You are motivated to find new ways to improve our best practices
- You are familiar with some of the following technologies: gRPC, SQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Kafka, and event driven architectures
- You have previous experience mentoring other developers
- Above all, you are excited at the prospect of entering a highly dynamic environment where you'll frequently challenge and be challenged to learn and adapt new processes and technologies
