Head of Commercial Development

For Wrisk Europe GmbH, we are actively seeking a highly skilled Head of Commercial Development who possesses an extensive background in winning, developing and managing an OEM and automotive financial services client base throughout Europe.
This pivotal role demands a professional who can expertly navigate the automotive and mobility industry in Europe to generate new business opportunities for Wrisk. You will identify and qualify opportunities and work with the wider team to formulate commercially viable solutions.
Moreover, the Head of Commercial Development will play a vital role in shaping the company's strategic direction. While building the profile and visibility of Wrisk in Europe, you will Build a pipeline of new potential opportunities and qualify these as required. You will develop joint sales, marketing and insurance product initiatives and lead the day-to-day sales dialogue with potential new customers.
By providing market and client-driven insights and recommendations, you will influence key business decisions, contributing to the development and refinement of our solutions. This will require a blend of strategic thinking and a keen understanding of the product and distribution concepts in the marketspace.
Furthermore, collaboration will be a significant aspect of this role. You will work closely with diverse teams, including key account management, product development, underwriting, risk management, operations and technology, ensuring a cohesive approach to product and insurance partner management.
**Requirements**:
- Proven success in a business development (hunter) role
- Thorough understanding of OEM and automotive financial services client requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of the European automotive insurance market
- Credibility and presence - able to influence a broad range of stakeholders.
- Success within a similar role in the automotive and/ or insurance industry
- Proven ability to lead the sales result with teams brought together around an account opportunity.
- Commercially aware and able to effectively represent Wrisks interests and requirements.
- Able to manage complex sales processes and long sales cycles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Well-developed analytical skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
- A proactive stance towards learning and keeping abreast of the latest industry advancements.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, International Business, or a related field.
