**THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE**

As the Head of People, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the People strategy to support the growth trajectory. You will work closely with the Founders and the leadership team to create a positive and engaging work environment while developing and implementing initiatives that enhance our company culture, employee engagement, and recruitment efforts.

You will further develop our core people processes and ensure that our people operations will run smoothly to support the scaling of charles. Lastly, you will coach your team members and help them grow in their roles.

**THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

**_ People Operations and Compliance_**
- Ensure People operations run smoothly, overseeing processes such as payroll, benefits administration, employee records and employee surveys
- Stay updated on employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and providing guidance to management and employees
- Implement and enhance people policies, procedures, and systems to streamline operations and improve efficiency
- Spearhead and continuously improve the career development and performance review process as well as execute subsequent changes (e.g., promotions, payroll, etc.)

**_People Strategy and Culture Building_**
- Collaborate with the founders and senior leadership to formulate and implement an effective people strategy aligned with the company's goals and values
- Drive initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive company culture, reinforce our core values and promote employee engagement in close collaboration with our Ops & Culture Manager
- Develop and implement projects and policies to improve well-being, motivation, and retention

**_Employee Engagement and Development_**
- Design and implement exciting employee engagement activities, events, and programs to foster a positive and high-performance work environment
- Execute training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, aligning them with business objectives
- Create opportunities for career growth and advancement through performance management, mentorship, and coaching programs
- Establish a training and coaching program for leadership roles across departments

**_Talent Acquisition and Recruitment_**
- Support to develop and iterate organizational targets structures in the different departments and convey into a company hiring plan
- Work closely with recruiters on staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies, operations to attract top talent

**YOU'LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND VALUES**
- University degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Solid experience in HR, Business Partner, other strategic HR roles preferably within a fast-paced environment (e.g., start-ups, consulting, investment banking, VC, PE)
- Proven track record of developing and executing people strategies that support business objectives and drive organizational success
- Strong understanding of German labor law, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively
- Fluent in English and German is a big plus
