As a young campus university with a focus on the humanities, Trier University is characterized above all
by its extensive international network. With currently about 11,000 students and 2,000 employees, it is
one of the largest employers in the Trier region.
The following professorship is available for reappointment at the Faculty of Law:
**W 3-Professorship Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure,**
**including European and International References (M/F/d)**
The post holder should represent criminal law and criminal procedural law in its entire breadth,
including the respective European and International References, in research and teaching. Additional
in the university's specialization education, in particular the focal area (Schwerpunktbereich) 4:
acquire third-party funding is expected.
The ability to give lectures in English or French in addition to the basic courses in German is an
advantage.
The official duties result from - 48 of the Higher Education Act of Rhineland-Palatine (HochSchG). The
requirements for employment result from - 49 HochSchG. Reference is made to - 50 para. 5 sentences
5 and 6 HochSchG.
