MSCI ESG Research, part of MSCI Inc, is seeking to expand its multi-asset research team to support our clients’ growing sustainable finance and regulatory needs. The Sustainable Finance Specialist will propose methodological enhancements aimed at aligning with the evolving regulatory landscape, and spearhead research content on related topics.

**Your key responsibilities**

Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the analytical rigor of MSCI’s EU Sustainable Finance methodologies by supporting the measurement of both adverse and positive impacts of global companies. You will monitor the evolving regulatory trends and work closely with the broader MSCI ESG Research team, MSCI ESG Product team, client coverage and index research colleagues to deliver research and solutions to global clients. Your specific responsibilities will include:

- Continuously enhancing market-leading sustainable finance tools, investor guides, and methodologies;
- Supporting MSCI ESG clients in navigating compliance-based investment screening requirements;
- Producing insightful research content on sustainable finance, comparison of regulatory policies across jurisdictions, and on the impact of evolving regulations, and present the research findings to internal and external stakeholders.

**Your skills and experience that will help you excel**

Specific Knowledge/Skills
- A critical thinker with the ability to develop and work with large data sets and rules-based structured outputs;
- Diligent and detail oriented with the ability to distill critical concepts and present information at a high level;
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in investment, regulatory, corporate sustainability, or NGO fields;
- Strong knowledge of the EU sustainable finance landscape (disclosures, taxonomy-related requirements, prudential rules);
- A good understanding of ESG ratings and climate-related financial metrics.
- An advanced degree (Masters) is preferred but not required.
