**Description**:

- The Senior Network Engineering Manager is responsible for the provision of expert knowledge and influences the Network strategy for planning, designing and optimising the network and driving effectiveness and efficiency through harmonisation and standardisation.The Senior Network Engineering Manager focusses upon the management of a team of Network Development and Engineering professionals who deliver Network Engineering activities in response to business needs and in alignment with the Vodafone Strategy.Typically reports to the Head of Network Engineering.

**Job Responsibility**:

- Influences strategic decision making related to Network transformation decisions, related to the planning, deployment and optimization of Networks and service enablers to support the achievement of the Network strategy;
- Leads the delivery of the development and assessment of Network systems / services and optimisation in line with the principles, standards and designs;
- Uses advanced analytical thought across the network perspective, instigating and leading projects form a Network perspective that improve Network integration effectiveness;
- Leads and manages a team of Network Development and Engineering professionals, sets direction for the Network and aligns Network Developments team/s to ensure long term Network quality, effectiveness, competitiveness and reliability;
- Leads and develops a team through clear objective and target setting for performance and career development;
- Manages projects, within the roadmap, taking into account the directional guidance of the strategic (1 -3 year) plan, managing risks, escalations and exceptions, and complex interfaces;
- Uses evaluative judgement to resolve complex or novel design, planning, deployment and optimization challenges across the network development and engineering area;
- Builds solid relations and works closely with suppliers, Technology vendors and internal functions;
- Demonstrates solid communication skills and works with senior leaders across the Network function and other key stakeholders to ensure development is undertaken in line with the overall strategy and architecture and is fit for deployment;
- May have accountability for budget in area.
