Tech Lead

Tangany, based in Munich, is a highly innovative technology company with a market-leading B2B solution for the custody of digital assets on the blockchain (e.g. cryptocurrencies, tokenized assets, NFTs). Our solution is already used by more than 40 institutional customers. Tangany is regulated by the German federal financial supervisory authority, BaFin. Using our modern blockchain API, we enable our customers to easily and securely integrate blockchain functionalities into their systems. This white-label solution saves high development costs and time, enabling fast market access and easy usability for end users. Regulatory requirements can be covered for appropriate assets via Tangany's crypto custody license if required. For our continued growth, we are looking for a Tech Lead - Cloud Infrastructure (f/m/d) to join our Platform Engineering department and play a key role in a highly efficient, cross-functional environment. As part of the wider Tangany Platform Engineering department, you will lead a team of Cloud Platform Engineers with focus on cloud governance, compliance, security, and cost optimization. Design and develop a scaleable and reliable infrastructure for an Internal Developer Platform, enabling a solid foundation for our internal and product services. Tasks - Take responsibility for a small but efficient team of cloud engineers and lead with technical proficiency and expertise. - Set clear performance goals and monitor individual and team progress. - Provide training, mentorship, and feedback and enhance team development. - Manage and configure core Microsoft Azure services to ensure a robust and scalable infrastructure. - Automate provisioning, testing, and deployment using advanced CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and Azure DevOps. - Implement end-to-end observability solutions with tools like Azure Monitor, Grafana, and Prometheus. - Collaborate closely with API and Blockchain development teams to enhance developer productivity and user experience. - Support second-line and ISO teams with IT-compliance requirements for security, risk, business continuity and incident management, ICT outsourcing, and governance workloads. - Take technical ownership of cloud-based platforms and ensure technical quality and growth of designated systems. **Requirements**: - 8+ years of experience in software development, development operations, and release management. - 3+ years of experience in team leadership. - Proven experience in building solutions on Microsoft Azure in highly regulated environments. - Deep understanding of cloud architecture best practices: security, reliability, performance efficiency, operational excellence, and costs management. - Hands-on experience in Terraform, Shell scripting, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines implementation. - Enthusiasm for blockchain technologies; blockchain knowledge is a plus. - Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. - Fluent in English ( >B2); German is a plus. **Benefits**: **Flexibility & Work-Life-Balance**: - 30 days of vacation plus ½ day off December 24th and December 31st and additional unpaid leave if needed to recharge your battery. - Two weeks extra paid vacation for new parents. - Possibility to work from home or any other place within Germany (depending on the role) or in our beautiful and fun office located in the heart of Munich. - Possibility to go on workation for up to 40 days per year. - Flexbile working hours, you work when you are most productive. **Your development**: - It starts from day one: With our onboarding that is tailored to your needs, you will receive a structured onboarding plan and feedback talks within the probation period (and of course after). - We grow and we want you to grow with us.
