As a **European Compliance & Risk Advisor **you will ensure leaders and employees are complying with the company’s policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.

You will support a wide array of complex risk & compliance requests, as well as lead projects related to the enhancement of the overall Excavation Division Compliance Program.

**What you will do**:

- Support the development and implementation of an effective legal compliance program
- Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
- Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses
- Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk
- Support our facilities, business partners, and leaders in their compliance journey and culture
- Support internal audit and the certification and re-certification of identified audit findings, ensuring robust mitigation plans are in place
- Lead projects or assignments that are large and complex to uniquely resolve compliance issues across a global team
- Raise inconsistencies or problems with recommendations and solutions, which are outside delegated authority, to the attention of management.

**Required qualifications**:

- Must be proficient in English
- Business or other related degree and desirable to have an auditing/business/accounting related certification such as an International Accredited Business Accountant (IABA), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), etc.
- Strong Internal Audit or Legal Compliance experience with a specialisation in Internal Controls
- Demonstrated history of solving multiple complex operational and legal compliance challenges.
- Strong leadership, initiative, inter-personal skills, and the ability to communicate technically complex compliance related information effectively. Influencing and galvanizing others to follow you toward a solution.
- Deal in ambiguity with the ability to reprioritize based on multiple business needs.
- Consistently demonstrated high level of collaboration and teamwork.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- An ability to manage priorities and work independently.

**Additional Information**:
This job requires ability to reach one of our facilities in Kiel or Mannheim.

This job also requires ability to travel across Europe within 25% of work time.
