Our client, Worldcoin, is a new, collectively owned global currency that will be distributed fairly to as many people as possible. Worldcoin will launch by giving a free share to everyone on Earth. They believe that this is an essential step to accelerate the transition towards a more inclusive global economy, providing new ways for everyone to share future prosperity.

We are now looking for a Data Science Director (f/m/d) to join Worldcoin on their ambitious journey.

Woldcoin’s Economics team uses a market design approach and combines computer science, statistics, and economics to develop practical incentive mechanisms that scale to more than a billion participants of the Worldcoin network. With your work, you will have a large impact, influencing the design and parametrization of the mechanisms Worldcoin will use on a global scale.

Tasks
- Lead a team of econometricians, statisticians, and data scientists.
- Coordinate with other members of the Economics team regarding the design, execution, and analysis of field experiments.
- Infer and experiment with the product based on analyzed data, to achieve successful rates
- Build econometric models for analyzing different sources of data
- Derive analytical insights from data to inform the decisions of the Economics team
- Mediate between the data science and the engineering departments
- Analyze large amounts of data to evaluate the performance of all economic mechanisms that Worldcoin is testing in the field.

**Requirements**:

- Ph.D. in Econometrics, Statistics or related field
- Broad knowledge of different statistics/econometrics methods and analysis of economic/behavior data.
- 5+ years of experience in data science and empirical data analysis
- 2+ years of team management experience.
- Experience in a start-up or agile environments preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Familiarity with Jira and Software Engineering is a plus
