About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking
Data Science Manager
to lead our data science team and drive strategic, data-driven initiatives across the organization. You will be responsible for building and managing a team of data scientists and analysts, developing machine learning solutions, and ensuring that our data efforts translate into measurable business outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for turning complex data into actionable insights that create real business impact.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of
    data scientists, machine learning engineers, and analysts
    , fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
  • Define and execute the company's
    data science strategy
    , aligning projects with business goals and KPIs
  • Oversee the development and deployment of
    machine learning models
    ,
    predictive analytics
    , and
    AI-driven solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations — to identify opportunities for data-driven optimization
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and scalability of models and data pipelines
  • Translate technical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and stakeholders
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in AI, data science, and MLOps
  • Manage project priorities, timelines, and resource allocation within the data science team

Your Profile

  • Master's or PhD degree in
    Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics
    , or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in
    data science or machine learning
    , including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
  • Proven experience in building and deploying
    machine learning models
    in production environments
  • Strong programming skills in
    Python
    and familiarity with libraries such as
    pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
  • Solid understanding of
    SQL
    ,
    data architecture
    , and
    cloud platforms
    (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with
    MLOps practices
    ,
    model lifecycle management
    , and version control
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives
  • Fluent in
    English
    ;
    German
    proficiency is a plus
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
