As a Hardware Developer* Backend Digital you will have the opportunity to work in a highly innovative area as part of our dedicated team. You will specify, implement and optimize hardware components of complex SoCs and mixed-signal ASICs for high performance or low power. For this team we are currently looking for a talented and experienced ASIC Physical Designer who would like to support us. **What you will do** - Responsibility for research and development in physical/backend design for SoCs or mixed-signal ASICs (implementing RTL design to GDSII). - Perform RTL code checking, static timing analysis, and test build using state-of-the-art design tools - Independent verification of design drafts with regard to e.g. timing, power and noise (sign off) as well as central contact person for troubleshooting and analysis before production (DRC/LVS) - Proactively introduce future exciting development ideas and topics and drive the innovation processes forward - Supervision of students in scientific work **What you bring to the table** - Successfully completed master's degree or diploma in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field - Several years of professional experience in the backend area - Technical know-how in ASIC Place&Route tools (e.g. Cadence or Synopsys) and experience with scripting languages like Shell, TCL, Make or Python - Good knowledge in languages like VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog - Personality: communicative and responsible team player with strong problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box **What you can expect** You can look forward to an inspiring working environment that thrives on trust, creativity and team spirit.
