Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Being part of a dedicated team that is responsible for generating a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms in neurological diseases and transferring that knowledge to develop and establish preclinical in vitro/ex vivo models of human disease
- Supporting internal lab activities to improve understanding of molecular pathophysiology and set up new mechanistic assays using various translational models
- Providing clear written reports of experiments, position papers and presentations for internal use within Research
**What you'll bring to the table**
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
- PhD in life sciences with a solid background in cellular and molecular biology or neuro-inflammation
- A strong interest in translational research and building disease models
- Being a committed lab-based scientist with a proven track record working with advanced cell culture formats (e.g. primary cell or iPSC models, microfluidics, 3D cultures, explants/slices or organoids) and tissues
- Ideally hands-on experience with histology and various techniques to study RNA and protein expression
- Previous experience in assay/model set up for screening purposes is a plus
