Your tasks

Your scope, tasks, and responsibilities are as follows:

- Lead the ContiTech Purchasing Team for Rubber Compounds globally and Chemical Traders for the Americas region to be in line with sourcing strategy and agreed guidelines.
- Purchasing Ambassador for the regions including coordination of activities with ContiTech & Group Purchasing.
- Meet cost requirements, implement and conduct cost saving activities.
- Active support, coordination between Purchasing and other functions e.g. SCM and R&D.
- Support implementation of Continental standard business processes, according to global standards.
- Coordination between implementation team and local process owners.
- Run and support global/regional/plant purchasing optimization projects, ensure alignment with correspnding guidelines.
- Coordinate in line with Continental purchasing standards.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and processes at all times.
- Ensure proper communication of policies and processes.

**Profile**:

- University degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Master) and/or extensive experience.
- Several years of purchasing experience, preferably rubber industry.
- Several years experience in a leading position.
- Negotiation experience in an international trade environment.
- Experience in a variety of projects related to purchasing, cost improvements, efficiency gains. As well, experience in organizational development and transformation.
