Scope of workfull-time position suitable for part-time**Responsibilities**:
Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
We are looking for a motivated microscopy specialist who will be part of the TPLM team and working in the HHH-IDIA project. The position is initially limited for three years, but can be prolonged after positive evaluation of the project.
**Profile**:
A university degree in a relevant field, plus doctorate.
- profound expertise and experience in developing and implementing novel research methods
- extensive knowledge and experience in quantitative analysis of light microscopy data
- 3 years or more of experience in operating and maintaining advanced light microscopes (e.g. confocal, multi-photon, light-sheet, etc.)
- willingness and ability to work in a biosafety level 3 (BSL3) laboratory is mandatory
- experience in working in BSL2 and BSL3 laboratories is an advantage
- experience with light and/or electron cryo-microscopy is an advantage
- proficiency in English (spoken and written, B2 or better)
- initiative, planning and organizational skills
- very good communication and teaching skills, ability to work in a team and resilience
- strong service awareness
