Scope of workfull-time position suitable for part-time**Responsibilities**:
Duties primarily include teaching and research. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
- theoretical and computational research on electronic correlation effects interplaying with topological effects in 2D moiré systems, especially twisted graphene multilayers and TMDC multilayers
- development of corresponding many-body methods
- establishment of charge-self-consistent DMFT in combination with solvers such as Lanczos and CT-QMC for the simulation of 2D moiré systems
- description of transport phenomena in these materials at DMFT level
- teaching at the level of four hours/week

**Profile**:
A university degree in a relevant field plus doctorate.
- research experience in theoretical solid state physics and physics of correlated moiré systems such as twisted bilayer graphene is desirable
- experience with numerical many-body methods like dynamical mean field theory (DMFT) using advanced solvers like Lanczos or CT-QMC is required
- experience in multi-scale methods for describing moiré systems and topological phenomena in condensed matter are desirable
