Junior Demand Capacity Planner

The role

As a Jr. Strategic Demand-Capacity Planner (f/m/d/x) you will help shape the long-term alignment between market demand and our global supplier, production, and logistics networks. Sitting within the Central Planning team and nested in the International Operations department, you will report directly to the Associate Director of Strategic Planning. Working closely with Product, Marketing, and Forecasting teams, you will translate long-range demand signals into capacity strategies that ensure our operational network is prepared for future growth and market shifts. You will support scenario planning and strategic simulations for demand-shaping initiatives that impact end-to-end capacity. By analyzing capacity utilization across our European operations, you will enable proactive, forward-looking decisions that reduce risk and maximize efficiency. You will also conduct industry and technology trend research, contribute to the development of the HelloFresh Planning Target Operating Model, and play a key role in the yearly planning cycle and quarterly OKR reviews for Operations, ensuring that long-term operational readiness is deeply connected to business strategy.What you’ll do

What you'll do
- Support the Forecasting Team in developing a long-term forecast for strategic decision-making.
- Conduct industry research on supplier and logistics network trends, as well as developments in digital technology for planning tools.
- Analyze and monitor capacity utilization in our operational country clusters (suppliers, production, logistics network), enabling proactive risk management of our supply chain rather than reactive, wasteful incident handling.
- Support scenario planning and ad-hoc simulations on our supplier and fulfillment network for demand alteration activities affecting our end-to-end capacities
- Assist in the yearly planning process of International Operations and in quarterly OKR reviews.
- Translate forecasted demand into actionable procurement and production plans, making tactical decisions to prevent financial waste
- Support the development and implementation of the HelloFresh Planning Target Operating Model.

What you’ll bring
- You have around 1 year of professional experience in a similar role and hold a university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Ideally, you have gained initial experience in supply chain, capacity planning, or forecasting in a fast-paced environment.
- You bring strong analytical skills and are confident in working with data to drive decisions.
- You have a great interest in cross-functional processes, intersecting operations
- You are proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, you manage multiple priorities with ease and approach challenges with a business, data-, and process-driven mindset.
- You enjoy working across functions and engaging senior stakeholders to deliver value through cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.
- You communicate effectively in English (additional German language skills are a plus), collaborate well with international /cross-functional teams, and demonstrate professionalism in all stakeholder interactions.
- You are proficient in Google Workspace; experience with SQL, planning or forecasting tools would be an advantage
