As Owner's Engineers, we belong to the PCT department of our Engineering organization and are responsible for the implementation of Process Control Technology in all kinds of investment projects. We also support our operations with expert knowledge from various disciplines of Process Control Technology.
Do you enjoy functional leadership and the coordination of complex topics? Then we will find innovative solutions in Process Control Technology with your help. As a member of the INFS group (Instrumentation and Functional Safety), you will be the focal point for Functional Safety at Covestro and, as Global Functional Lead, you will contribute to make every plant a safe place for our employees.
These are your tasks:
- Senior Expert, global core competence and communicator for Functional Safety in Process and Machinery Safety at Covestro- Responsibility for the implementation of legal Functional Safety requirements in plants and projects- Standardization, consulting and training in the area of Functional Safety- Mentoring and guidance of the global Functional Safety Team- Presidency of the Global Functional Safety Community- Communication with internal and external stakeholders- Driving innovation and digitalization in the area of Functional Safety
WHAT YOU OFFER
This is your Profile:
- University degree in automation engineering, risk and safety management or a comparable degree- 8+ years of experience in the process industry- Expertise in Functional Safety, including a broad knowledge of applied industry practices- Good knowledge in relevant other areas of Process Control Engineering, e.g. automation, electrical, etc.- Ideally, personal experience in maintenance, operations and / or planning in Process Control Technology- Experience in green field and / or brown field projects- Empathic and loyal personality, integrity, trustworthiness, persuasiveness, authenticity and approachability- Team-oriented, systematic and solution-oriented work approach- Communication and cooperation skills- Fluent in German and English- Willingness to travel
