**Your mission**:
We are looking for an AI Project Lead (M/F/x) eager to actively shape appliedAI's role as a leading ally in assisting our client companies to leverage AI for business transformation. You will be a close sparring partner to these organizations, helping to initiate and/or scale their AI ambitions. This includes guiding them in defining and setting up their AI strategies, developing their AI use case portfolio and creating an organizational setup to bring it into action. As an AI Project Lead you will work closely with our (Technical) AI Strategist as well as intersections with adjacent teams, such as AI Engineering, Capabilities or Trustworthy AI. In addition to the work with individual partners, you contribute to developing, tech-enabling and managing a set of unique assets in the Strategy & Transformation space to help our ecosystem advancing in the age of AI.

Your tasks will include:

- Acting as a sparring partner for AI strategy to our partners and customers - from DAX to larger “Mittelstand” companies - this involves managing engagements with our partner companies as well as communicating with top management and C-level executives
- Driving the development and implementation of AI strategies, establishing effective AI operating models and compiling high-value use case portfolios
- Responsibility for scoping customer projects based on their specific needs and leading the execution as a project manager
- Leading cross-functional project teams (e.g., AI Strategists, AI Engineers), to deliver the highest value to our customers and developing our team capabilities internally
- Taking a leading role in building deep and trustworthy relationships with customers and identifying additional AI opportunities to get customers to the next AI maturity level, including leveraging advancements in AI technologies like AI agents to drive customer value
- Co-owning topics within the Strategy & Transformation team, being recognized as thought leader for a topic, and further developing top-notch assets that allow for scaling our offering
- Staying up to date and in touch with relevant strategic AI questions and AI state-of-the-art research to understand opportunities and requirements

**Your profile**:

- An outstanding academic record in a business
- You combine the best of strategic project management with strong technical passion and technical expertise in AI
- Experience in business development and proposal/tender processes with a highly customer-centric approach
- Awareness for stakeholder dynamics and ability to drive communication tailored to different audiences (e.g., C-Level, Domain Experts, Operational Teams)
- Ability to understand and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, while focusing on the business impact of AI in their organizations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong presence and communication skills
- A team player with a willingness to continuously learn new things
- Fluency in English and German is required
