**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
J.D. or LLM with excellent academic credentials. You are a licensed attorney in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where Cisco does business.

Industry recognized privacy and/or security certifications are a plus (eg, CIPP/Europe, CISM, CDPSE, etc.)

**Primary responsibilities will include**:
Serve as a legal expert and resource on global privacy and data related regulations, with a particular focus on how they impact our European business.

Counsel your legal colleagues, product engineering, go-to-market teams, and other business teams on existing law and in preparation for emerging legal regimes, new legislation, and compliance frameworks.

Provide legal advice and day-to-day support to legal colleagues and business stakeholders on privacy, security, and data related matters.

(including data sovereignty, data residency/localization, data architecture and flows).

Partner with Product Legal to guide privacy-forward product development and evaluate the impact of existing and upcoming privacy, security, and data related laws, rules, and regulations on product development, features, and functionality.
