**The Role**

Veeva’s Legal Team is looking for a dynamic, business-minded lawyer who excels in a fast-paced, global work environment. In this role, you will act as the primary legal advisor for two of Veeva’s most innovative and fastest-growing products: Veeva Link and Veeva OpenData. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the executive, strategy, and product teams to ensure the Veeva Link and OpenData products meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations, including all global data privacy requirements.

This position is a Work Anywhere role within Germany. As you will support a management and product team that is primarily based in Frankfurt, relatively frequent travel to Frankfurt may be required.

**What You’ll Do**
- Act as liaison to customers regarding legal compliance of the Veeva Link and OpenData products
- Advise the Veeva Link and OpenData executive, product, and strategy teams in Europe and US
- Recommend improvements and innovations to the policies and processes relevant to the business
- Research applicable laws, regulations, and best practices (including oversight of local counsel outside of the EU and US)
- Develop and maintain templates applicable to the business
- Advise and negotiate key vendor and partner relationships for the Veeva Link and OpenData businesses

**Requirements**:

- Law degree and active law license
- 7+ years of relevant legal and business experience
- Bilingual proficiency in both English and German
- Strong background in key global data privacy regimes: GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, etc.
- Experience supervising and directing local counsel outside of the EU and US
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced business to meet critical deadlines

**Nice to Have**
- Experience/exposure to the life sciences industry (Pharma, Biotech, Medtech)
- Experience working with a government/regulatory body
- In-house experience with a data or cloud software business
